Introduction
In this case study, we will look at a recent project we completed for St. Joseph's Hospice in Thornton.
The hospice reached out to us for a drone roof survey of one of their properties.
Our task was to conduct a thorough inspection of the roof, focusing on safety and delivering in-depth insights to assist the hospice in its maintenance and renovation efforts.
The Goal
Our mission was clear - to provide St. Joseph's Hospice with a detailed assessment of the condition of their roof.
Using our drone technology, we aimed to conduct an inspection that would uncover any potential issues and ensure the safety and integrity of the building.
The Findings
We began by deploying the DJI Mini 3 which is equipped with high-resolution cameras to capture detailed imagery of the roof from various heights and angles.
The inspection revealed several key findings:
- Cracked, damaged and slipped tiles.
- Lots of vegetation and moss.
- Debris accumulation in gutters and drains
- Sagging on one of the flat roofs

Conclusion
In conclusion, our drone roof inspection provided valuable insights into the condition of St. Joseph's Hospice's property.
The report now gives them a clear indication of where property maintenance or repairs need to take place.
